Age spots and pigmentation is common. The skin is the largest and most exposed organ of the human body, it is hardly surprising that our skin is also sensitive to damage and change – particularly age spots and pigmentation problems. With time, most people acquire pigmentary lesions of some kind or another, whilst others are born with congenital skin lesions.
Some, but not all of these lesions respond to IPL treatments.
Our medical grade IPL has the capability to treat specific types of pigmented lesions such as lentigines, (also known as sun spots or age spots) and ephelides (freckles). Brief descriptions are provided below but we will advise that diagnosis is confirmed by a suitably qualified physician before commencing treatment.
During your consultation we ask a series of questions to help determine if laser treatments are suitable for you. We will then discus the best treatment options available to get your desired results. We then perform a patch test to allow your practitioner to determine your laser parameters and also indicate any possible adverse reactions. Our patch tests are always free and we always test every area of your body that requires treatment.Find out more
